Attic Insulation

Much like proper ventilation, an adequately insulated attic plays a huge role in reducing home heating and cooling costs. In the summer months, the cool air generated by your air conditioning unit will be trapped inside the home, rather than escaping through your roof. The same principle prevents the warm air you generate from escaping in the winter months. The less air escaping form your attic, the less your AC unit and furnace have to run. Over time, less air escape means less money escaping from your bank account, which is something we can all be thankful for.

Having proper insulation levels in the winter also helps prevent the snow from melting off your roof, which is known to prevent ice dams when reaching the eaves.
